MISHAWAKA - Edith M. Hamman, 78, of Mishawaka, died Sunday, April 25, 2010, in Fountainview Place. Edith was born in Lily, Wisconsin, to Walter M. and Sadie (Hintz) Baily, who preceded her in death. She married George M. Hamman on March 18, 1952. Along with her parents she was preceded by her husband, George, a son, George Jr. in 2001, a son, Keith E. Hamman in 2003, and a great-granddaughter, Danielle. Edith is survived by a daughter, Janet Grabill of South Bend, eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Jeanette Lanno of Florida and Jean (Robert) Blair of Mishawaka. She was a charter member of First Apostolic Church. Edith loved reading the Bible and going to church. She also liked to remodel houses and was good at it. Edith and her husband attended First Apostolic Church from 1952 until 1991 when they moved to Milwaukee, WI. While there they worked for the Lord at Parkway Church in Oak Creek and they moved back to Indiana in 2002. Again attending First Apostolic Church Edith was a very giving person and had a hard time accepting help from others. There will be no visitation or service at this time. A memorial service will be held at First Apostolic Church in June with Pastor Gene Ebright officiating. The time of service will be announced later. Memorial contributions may be made to First Apostolic Church.
