Mrs. Mable Muckenfuss Hankins

BERRIEN SPRINGS - Services for Mrs. Mable Muckenfuss Hankins, 79, of 1818 S. St. Joseph St, who died Wednesday night in her winter home in Zephyrhills, Fla., following a two-day illness, will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Guisinger Colonial Chapel. Rev. David Gmelick, pastor of Calvary Lutheran Church of Ferguson, Mo, will officiate. Burial will be in South Lawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Social Services of Fort Wayne, or to Our Savior Lutheran Church, Zephyrhills, of which she was a member. She was born Dec. 25, 1903, in Michigan. She lived in South Bend 50 years. On Aug. 28, 1928, in Logansport, Ind., she married Clarence Muckenfuss. He died July 23, 1975. Then on March 8, 1979, in Zephyrhills, she married Charles Hankins. He survives along with a daughter, Mrs. Mary Jane Macke of Fort Wayne; two sons, Robert Muckenfuss of Cassopolis, and Richard Muckenfuss of Mishawaka; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Dorothy Billwack of Berrien Springs; a stepson, Lloyd Kibler of St. Joseph; four grandchildren; five stepgrand-children; and three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Bakeman of Eau Claire and Orlando, Fla., Mrs, Millie Pelkey of Buchanan, and Mrs. Wilma Roper of Colorado Springs, Colo.
