MISHAWAKA - Coy Leon Hardin, 73, of Batesville, Ark., formerly of Mishawaka, died April 6 in Newport, Ark. Jackson County (Ark.) Deputy Coroner Rhett Maris ruled the death a suicide.

Mr. Hardin retired as a refrigerator repairman and was employed by Studebaker Corp. for 20 years. He was born Jan. 7, 1921, in Newport, Ark. He is survived by three daughters, Nancy Pattiz of Los Angeles, Janet Barber of Battle Creek, Mich., and Tammy Mahieu of Mishawaka; three grandsons; and his mother, Allie Meador of Cave City, Ark.

Burial was in Brown's Chapel Cemetery, Bradford, Ark. Jackson Funeral Home, Newport, handled arrangements.
