SOUTH BEND - Paul R. Harman, 79, of Hickory Road, died at 7:07 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mr. Harman retired in 1978 from Allied Products, was a self-employed lawnmower repairman and was a former employee of Studebaker Corp.

He was born June 11, 1916, in Tennessee and lived in South Bend most of his life. On March 12, 1942, in South Bend, he married Melvina F. Connagham. She died Aug. 8, 1992. He is survived by a son, Daniel of Mishawaka; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A son, Paul R. Jr., preceded him in death.

There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will take place. Hahn Funeral Home, Mishawaka, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Arthritis Foundation.
