MISHAWAKA - Gladys M. Harms, 96, of Healthwin Hospital, South Bend, formerly of Mishawaka, died at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in Healthwin. Mrs. Harms retired in 1965 from Sears, Roebuck & Co.

She was born April 30, 1899, in Traverse City, Mich., and lived in this area most of her life. On May 25, 1929, in Kalamazoo, as Gladys M. Cottier, she married Frank Harms. He died April 27, 1966. Surviving are a daughter, Jeanne Fitzgerald of Monee, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. A daughter, Barbara Whittling, died Aug. 20, 1956. Two sons, Norman Cottier died Sept. 25, 1953, and Jack Harms died July 12, 1967.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
