Wallace Harold

June 26, 1895 – January 27, 1983

Wallace Harold, 87, of 1255 Fairington Circle, died at 12:10am today in Osteopathic Hospital after a lengthy illness.  He was retired having been employed at Allis-Chalmers Co in Milwaukee WI and the former New York Central YMCA in Elkhart.

He was born on June 26, 1895, in Bowling Green MO and lived in South Bend for twenty years, coming from Milwaukee.  On July 22, 1934, in Waukegan IL, he married Mary Jane White.  She survives with a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Mary) Alford of South bend; three grandchildren and a great grandchild.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Sunday in Alford’s Mortuary, 1222 Napier.  He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God I Christ where he served on the Trustee Board, the Deacon Board, and was past president of the Usher Board.  He also was a past member of the State Usher Board of Northern Indiana Churches.  Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
