SOUTH BEND - Deborah L. Harris, 51, of South Bend, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2007, in her home. She was born July 24, 1955, in South Bend, as the daughter of Robert and Shirley (Huff) Baude. She was a lifelong resident, having graduated from James Whitcomb Riley High School.

On July 19, 1995, in South Bend, she married Jack R. Harris, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Melissa Hill of South Bend; a son, Robert D. "Daniel" Hill of Lexington, KY; and her foster parents, Marjorie and Don Garrard of Elkhart. Also surviving are two sisters, Violet Rose Baude and LaDelle Osedl of South Bend; and two brothers, Gregory Baude of Irving, CA, and Gary Baude of Front Royal, VA.

Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 15, in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 South Michigan Street, South Bend. Rev. Ed Erskin, pastor of Northway Church of Christ, will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 14, in the funeral home.
