Frank N. Harsanyi (June 16, 1915 – July 22, 2008).

MISHAWAKA – Frank N. Harsanyi, 93, of Jamestown Court North, passed away at 5:00pm Tuesday, July 22, 2008 in Healthwin Specialized Care Facility.

Frank was born on June 16, 1915 in South Bend to Steve and Anna (Ivancsic) Harsanyi. On December 1, 1945 he married Virginia Danielowicz Youts who preceded him in death February 22, 1997. He was also preceded in death by his son Charles “Chubby” Youts and two brothers Steve and Joseph Harsanyi.

He is survived by his son Gerald (Arline) Youts; his daughter-in-law Antoinette Youts; 5 grandchildren Koleen (Chris) Linker of Osceola, Randall (Kelly) Youts of Granger, Jeffrey (Kimberly) Youts of Mishawaka, Eric (Anita) Youts of South Bend, and Shelley Kajzer of South Bend; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-greatgrandchilden; and two brothers Rudy (Loretta) Harsanyi and Gene Harsanyi.

Frank worked at Studebaker until 1963 and then was employed at St. Mary’s College working in security from which he retired after 33 years in 2002. Frank was an avid bowler, bowling many years for the Lincoln Hotel, and was inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame. He enjoyed cooking especially Hungarian foods and watching sports – the Cubs, White Sox, and Notre Dame football and basketball.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am Saturday, July 26, 2008 in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Family and friend may call 2 hours prior to services in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to A.D.E.C. Inc., P.O. Box 398, Bristol, IN 46507.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff, nurses, and aides at Healthwin and to Fr. Henry at St. Joseph Hospital, Fr. Ron at Healthwin for their daily prayers and blessings.
