Virginia M. Harsanyi (Feb. 26, 1917 - Feb. 22, 1997)

Virginia M. (Danielowicz) Harsanyi, 79, of Jamestown Court North, Mishawaka, Ind., died at 4:35 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, in Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Harsanyi was born Feb. 26, 1917, in South Bend, Ind., and lived in this area all of her life. She was employed by the former Studebaker Corporation.

 

As Virginia Danielowicz, she married Edward L. Youts, who preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 1942. On Dec. 1, 1945, as Virginia Youts, she married Frank N. Harsanyi, who survives.

 

She is also survived by two sons, Gerald (Arline) Youts, of Niles, Mich., and Charles (Toni) Youts of South Bend; five grandchildren, Koleen (Chris) Linker of Granger, Ind., Randall (Dayna) Youts of South Bend, Jeffrey (Kim) Youts of Mishawaka, Eric Youts of West Lafayette, Ind., and Shelley (Mark) Kajzer of South Bend; nine great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Lucille Yanez of Farmington Hills, Mich., Delores Foss of Champlin, Minn., and Phyllis Forsberg and Marianne Seach, both of Mishawaka.

Mrs. Harsanyi was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, South Bend.

 

Services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at Little Flower Catholic Church.

 

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at St. Joseph Funeral Home, South Bend, where a parish rosary will be said at 2 p.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
