SOUTH BEND - Catherine Marie Hartman, 89, of Lucille Avenue, died at 9:51 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mrs. Hartman retired as a nurse. She was born Feb. 22, 1904, in Nobles County, Minn., and lived in South Bend in the 1940s and returned in 1959.

In 1949, as Catherine Marie Bucher, she married Leo Hartman. He died in 1954. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Wilmont, Minn. Burial will be in St. Gabriel Cemetery, Fulda, Minn. Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, and from 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Lynch Funeral Home, Wilmont.
