SOUTH BEND - Joy M. Hartman, 73, of Bradenton, Fla., formerly of South Bend, died Monday in Bradenton. Mrs. Hartman was a retired real estate agent. She was born June 22, 1921, in Mishawaka, and moved to Bradenton in 1979 from South Bend.

On Dec. 20, 1958, in South Bend, she married F.W. ''Mike'' Hartman. He survives with a daughter, Penda ''Penny'' Parish of Lowell, Ind.; a son, Dennis M. of South Bend; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a sister, Dorothy Johnson of Dayton, Ohio; and a brother, William Fucsik of Baroda. She was past president of St. Joseph County Home Builders Association Auxiliary, a former member of St. Joseph County Realtors Association and Morris Park Country Club. She was a member of Northway Church of Christ.
