Evelyn L. Hartsough

June 26, 1928December 30, 2001

 

Evelyn Lucille Hartsough, 73 years old, residing on Stanton Road, North Liberty, passed away at 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 30, 2001 in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. Mrs. Hartsough was born on June 26, 1928 in Bremen to the late Ora and Julia (Greenawalt) Hochstetler. She has been a lifelong area resident. On September 11, 1949 in Bremen, she married Russell E. Hartsough who preceded in death on August 9, 1993.

Mrs. Hartsough was a member of the Pine Creek Church of the Brethren, North Liberty. She retired in 1994 from the 1st Source Bank, South Bend, after 25 years of employment.

Mrs. Hartsough is survived by two daughters, Janice (James) Maguire of Indianapolis and Julie (Dr. Timothy) Olinger of Ft. Wayne; three sons, James R. (Michelle) Hartsough of Greensboro, NC, John M. Hartsough of North Liberty, and Joseph A. (Barbara) Hartsough of Mishawaka; fifteen grandchildren, Drew Brennan, Peter Brennan, Katherine Brennan, Molly Maguire, Bridget Maguire, Courtney Maguire, Jason Hartsough, Justine Hartsough, Jessica Hartsough, Hayley Hartsough, Candice Hartsough, J. Deren Hartsough, Max Hartsough, Lara Olinger and Hannah Olinger; and two sisters, Marjorie Weiss of South Bend and Norma Hocker of North Liberty.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 4, 2002 at the Pine Creek Church of the Brethren, 69531 Pine Road, North Liberty, IN 46554. Rev. Norman Replogle, pastor of the church, will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Fair Cemetery, North Liberty. Friends may visit with the family from 2 - 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 3rd, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S. Michigan Street, Lakeville and one hour prior to services in the church on Friday.
