Sister M. Zita Hatlestad CSC, 82, of Saint Mary’s Convent, who died at 11 a.m. Sunday in the convent, will be in Our Lady of Loretto Church at St. Mary’s, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. today in the convent, where a wake will be at 7 p.m. today.

She was born Anna Hatlestad on Oct. 7, 1906 in Voss, Norway. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross at St. Mary’s on Jan. 21, 1926, coming from Rockford, Ill. She was received as a novice Aug. 15, 1926 and professed her vows Aug. 15, 1928. She is survived by a cousin, Sister M. Karen Fassinder CSC of St. Mary’s.  She was an elementary in schools in California, Idaho and Nevada.
