GRANGER - Prof. H. David Hayes, 63, of Granger, passed
away following an illness at 10:35 p.m. Sunday in his residence.
He was born on August 1, 1944, in Crawfordsville, IN, to the late
Harry Hobart and Clara Elizabeth (McDonald) Hayes. David
received his MBA from the University of Notre Dame. He began
teaching at Goshen College and was currently a professor in the
Department of Management in the Mendoza School of Business at the
University of Notre Dame.
He is survived by a sister, Dina (David) Pettit
of Cleveland, OH; a brother, Dan (Marilyn) Hayes of Cary, NC; and
a friend, Larry Dimaianta of Granger.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30
a.m. Thursday in McGann Hay Funerals | Cremations | Gatherings,
Granger Chapel, 13260 SR. 23 (enter off Cherry Road). Friends may
call on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral
home. Memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers to The
Gigot Center, University of Notre Dame, 234 Mendoza College of
