SOUTH BEND - Keith Hayes, 85, of
Monroe Street, died at 11:40 a.m. Thursday in Ironwood Health
& Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Hayes retired from Glaziers
Union Local 1152 as a glass installer. He was born March 8, 1910,
in Allegan County, Mich., and lived in South Bend for 53 years.
On April 22, 1944, in South Bend, he married
Margaret Kruszewski. She survives with a daughter, Linda Mihalski
of South Bend; a son, Kenneth J. of South Bend; nine
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters,
Georgia Kendall and Alma Briezman, both of Grand
Rapids. He was a member of Chain-O-Lakes Conservation Club and
Glaziers Union Local 1152.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in
Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in
Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in
the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to any
charity.
