Steven L. Hazen
July 2, 1948 - July 3, 2009 MISHAWAKA - Steven Louis Hazen, 61, passed away of natural causes on July 3, 2009, in his residence. Steven was born on July 2, 1948, in Mishawaka, to Louis Hazen Jr. and Bertie "Sue" Isabelle (Biggs) Hazen.

Steve was one of seven children. He is survived by his mother, Sue Gunn of Mishawaka; three brothers, Archie Hazen, Dale (Maryellen) Hazen and Tony (LuAnn) Hazen; along with one sister, Debbie Hazen Schenk, all of Mishawaka. He is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews, 21 great-nieces and nephews. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Louie, and two brothers, Ronald and Bruce Hazen.

Steve attended Mishawaka High School and was an all-star athlete. He lived in Hawaii for over 25 years before returning to his native Mishawaka. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, July 6th, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St. A memorial service celebrating Steve's life will be held at 6 p.m.
