SOUTH BEND - Theresa K. Healy, 86, of
2641 Aspen Way, died at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday in Regency Place
after an illness. Mrs. Healy was born April 26, 1908, in
Dowagiac, and lived in South Bend for 60 years, coming from
Dowagiac.
On Dec. 26, 1934, in Dowagiac, as Theresa K.
Behnke, she married Eugene G. Healy. He died in 1977. She
is survived by two daughters, Anne M. Garrett of South
Bend and Kathleen M. Murphy of Valparaiso; a son, Daniel
G. of South Bend; six grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara Stafford
of Kalamazoo. She was a member of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic
Church and St. Matthew Cathedral and their Rosary Society.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St.
Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Cremation will follow with
burial in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m.
today in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood Drive, where
a parish rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may
be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.
