Brother Julius Hefferman CSC, a member of
the Congregation of the Holy Cross for 41 years died Sunday
evening in the community infirmary at the University of Notre
Dame after a heart attack. He was aged 64.
He entered the congregation July 8, 1911,
and through the years has held several assignments at Notre Dame,
including work at the Ave Maria Press and the infirmary. He was
at one time director of the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
The members of the community will chant the
office of the dead at 5 p.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart Church on
the campus, and funeral rites will be conducted there at 9 a.m.
Wednesday.
