MISHAWAKA - Barbara J. Heilman, 60, of Cobblestone Circle, died at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Countryside Place after an illness. Mrs. Heilman was a former employee of Torrington Corp., South Bend, and the city of Oxnard, Calif.

She was born July 5, 1933, in Mishawaka, and lived in Mishawaka most of her life. She is survived by a daughter, Angela D. Rideout of Mishawaka; a son, Joseph F. Simon of Mishawaka; a granddaughter; a stepfather, John Hernicz of Oxnard; a sister, Shirley Trout of Oxnard; and a brother, David Leeper of Mishawaka. She was a veteran of the Korean War.

There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will take place. Hahn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity.
