James Walter Heminger, 96, of Medco Center, died at 1:46 AM today in the nursing home.  Mr. Heminger retired in 1959 from Hilton Construction Company of South Bend after 16 years of service.  He was born February 28, 1893, in Mishawaka, and was a lifelong area resident.  On November 16, 1916, he married Hazel Herbster.  She died December 24, 1928.  And October 10, 1930, he married Edith Bonny, who died in 1937.  On November 17, 1938, he married Eva Emmons.  She died May 3, 1977.  Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Hollingsworth of Osceola; three sons, William L. of South Bend, Robert E. of Georgia and Raymond R. of Elkhart; 10 grandchildren and Michael and 20 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 AM Saturday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.  Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Friday in the funeral home.
