George Hemminger

WALKERTON - Services for George Hemminger, 71, of 1201 A Ohio St., who died of natural causes at 5:10 a.m. Wednesday in Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Fort Wayne, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. Burial will be in Grovertown Cemetery, where military services will be conducted by Hamlet American Legion Post 356. Friends may call from noon until time of services in the funeral home.

 

Mr. Hemminger was a butcher. He was born Jan. 14, 1925. Surviving are six sisters, Lilly Weldon of Koontz Lake, Laura LaBere and Eva Miller, both of Walkerton, Nellie Garbison and Blanch Lester, both of Lacoochee, Fla., and Dora Miller of Winslow, Ariz.; and two brothers, Walter of Winslow and Grover of Lacoochee. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
