Services for Alfred P. Henigschmidt, 67, of 1221 Queen, who was dead on arrival at Memorial Hospital at 10 a.m. Monday of an apparent heart attack suffered just before his car struck a house across the street from his home, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William.  Rev. William A. Neidhart, C. S. C., pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.  Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.

 

Henigschmidt was a retired maintenance man for the JMS Building, having worked there 20 years, and was a Martin’s Supermarket employee.  Born on June 26, 1907, in Mishawaka, he had lived in the area his lifetime.  Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Henigschmidt was a member of Holy Cross Church.

 

Editor: This is one of the spelling variations of the surname that was changed by most family members to Henigsmith.
