Charles S. Henigsmith

A resident of Mishawaka practically all his life, Charles S. Henigsmith, 73, of 601 W. Lawrence St., died at 9:55 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Hospital.  He had been ill two weeks.  Mr. Henigsmith retired from the Ball-Band in 1952.

He was born in Nappanee, Ind., on Feb. 26, 1887, and came to Mishawaka when he was six weeks old.  On June 24, 1913, he married Miss Bertha Giel in Mishawaka.

 

Surviving, besides the widow, are one daughter, Mrs. Frederick Hahn, of Niles, Mich., four grandchildren, and two brothers, Leo Henigsmith, of Grovertown Ind., and Alfred Henigsmith, of South Bend.

 

Friends may call in the Bent & Sprague Chapel after 7 p.m. today.  Arrangements are incomplete.

Funeral services for Charles S. Henigsmith, 73, of 301 W. Lawrence St., who died Tuesday in St. Joseph Hospital, will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the Bent & Sprague Chapel.  Rev. Robert J. Yunker, pastor of First Methodist Church, will officiate, and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. 

 

Friends may call at the chapel until the time of services.  Pallbearers will be Forrest Moore, Howard Williamson, Louis Giel, Frank Mahler, Charles Smith and William Richardson.
