Mrs. J. Everett (Irene) Henry

September 14, 1906 – June 22, 1979

Mrs. Irene A. Henry, 72, of 59974 Mayflower, died at 11:50am Friday in Memorial Hospital after an illness of seven weeks.

She was born on September 13, 1906, in South Bend and had lived in the South Bend area for 26 year, moving from Walkerton. On March 10, 1928, in Walkerton, she married J. Everett Henry, who survives.  Also, surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Catherine Box of South Bend; a son, George of North Liberty; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, and a brother, Frederick William Martin of South Bend.

Services will be at 1pm Monday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William, with Rev. George Bennett, pastor of Sumption Prairie United Methodist Church, assisted by Rev. Brian Henry, officiating.  Burial will be I Porter Cemetery, Potato Creek. Friends may call from 5 to 9pm Sunday at the funeral home. 

She was a member of the Social Order of the Beauseant and the Chat & Paint Club.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Sumption Prairie United Methodist Church, of which she was a member.
