Mrs. Mildred M. Herbster, 53, of 1121 Allen Street, died in Memorial hospital at 2:30 PM Tuesday following surgery.  She was born in Tyner, Indiana, on August 20, 1908, and had resided in South Bend most of her life.  As Mildred Klingerman she was married to Edgar D. Herbster in Crown Point in 1926.  He survives her with her stepmother, Mrs. May Klingerman, of Tyner; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Tholander and Mrs. Vilet Chapman, both of South Bend; a half-sister, Mrs. Mariam Ullery of South Bend, and 4 half-brothers, Raymond Klingerman of Lakeville, Frances Klingerman of Walkerton, Marvin Klingerman of Tyner, and Ralph Klingerman of Ocean Beach, Oregon. Mrs. Herbster had been employed at the Associates Investment Co. for 33 years.  Friends may call at the Forest G. Hay funeral home after 7 PM today and until the services there at 3 PM Friday.  Rev. Roscoe F. Wilson, D. D., pastor of the People's Church, will officiate and burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.  Mrs. Herbster was secretary of the Twin Cities Duplicated Bridge Club and a member of the Studebaker Bridge Club and the Bendix Bridge Club.  She also was a member of chapter 2, Order of Eastern Star.
