John E. Hershberger

MISHAWAKA - John E. Hershberger, 77, of East Mishawaka Avenue, died of natural causes at 10:20 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Medical Center, South Bend. Mr. Hershberger retired from McLean Trucking in 1979, after 44 years as a driver. He was born Dec. 12, 1918, in Harper, Kan.

In 1940, in Goshen, he married Virginia V. Sensibaugh. She survives with a daughter, Dorothy Hoffer of Atwood; two grandchildren; a sister, Ruby Hay of Elkhart; and a brother, Glen of Elkhart. He was a member of South Bend Moose Lodge 1057, Mishawaka Eagles and was a World War II Army veteran.

There will be no services or visitation. Burial will be in Harrison Cemetery, Mentone. Bubb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
