Jean A. Hojara-Hiatt

June 24, 1959 - June 8, 2002

Jean A. Hojara-Hiatt, 42, of Gilmer Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, June 8, in her residence.

She was born in South Bend on June 24, 1959, to Robert A. and the former Rita (Kulwicki) Hojara. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert A. Hojara on Feb. 6, 1997; and by a brother, Robert S. Hojara.

On Oct. 7, 2000, in South Bend, she married Rick Hiatt. She is survived by four stepdaughters, Kim (Troy) Lyvers of South Bend, Angie Kruggel of Mishawaka, Ind., Tina Cooper of Mishawaka and Tammy Hiatt of South Bend; five grandchildren, Amanda Lyvers, Nicholas Kruggel, Jamie Kruggel, Shalia Cooper and Breanna Cooper; and by a sister, Suzanne Hojara of South Bend.

Mrs. Hiatt had been employed as a loan processor at 1st Source Mortgage of South Bend. She was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church, the Rosary and Altar Society, and the choir.

Family and friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, with a Rosary at 4 p.m.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, in St. Casimir Catholic Church, 1308 West Dunham, South Bend. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
