SOUTH BEND - Sister M. Ann Virginia Hillers, CSC, 87, of Saint Mary's Convent, died at 3:40 a.m. today in her residence. Sister M. Ann Virginia was born March 7, 1906, in Washington, D.C., as Corinne Hillers.

She entered the Congregation of Sisters of the Holy Cross on June 21, 1924; became a novice Jan. 6, 1925; and professed her vows Jan. 6, 1927. She was assigned as a teacher serving in elementary schools and commercial education, including St. Joseph Academy, Saint Mary's Academy, St. Hedwig School and St. Joseph's High School. She also taught in schools in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Texas and retired from volunteer work in 1983.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Church of Loretto. Burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday in the church, where a wake will be at 7 p.m. Hickey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Sisters of the Holy Cross Ministry with the Poor Fund, Bertrand Hall, Saint Mary's, Notre Dame, Ind. 46556.
