SOUTH BEND - Sister M. Deotilla Hill, CSC, 97, of Our Lady of Holy Cross Convent, died at 6:30 a.m. Monday in her residence. Sister M. Deotilla was born Dec. 1, 1896, in Quebec, as Catherine Hill.

She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross on Jan. 6, 1915; was received as a novice Aug. 6, 1915; and professed her vows on Aug. 15, 1917. She was assigned to domestic services and served at St. Joseph's Hospital, South Bend, Dolan Aid Asylum, Baltimore, Md., and in Texas and Ohio, retiring in 1979.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Church of Loretto, Saint Mary's. Burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Saint Mary's. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today in the church, where a wake will be at 7 p.m. Hickey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
