Elsie Zelda Hoffman

SOUTH BEND - Services and burial for Elsie Zelda Hoffman, 84, of St. Paul's Retirement Community, who died at 6:15 p.m. Saturday in the nursing home, were held today in Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery, Mishawaka. Forest G. Hay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Sinai Synagogue.

 

Mrs. Hoffman was born Sept. 7, 1911, in New York City and lived in South Bend since 1929. On March 18, 1934, in South Bend, as Elsie Levy, she married Morrey Hoffman. He died Jan. 14, 1980. She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Metzelaar of Wilmington, Del.; two sons, Loren of Buffalo, N.Y., and Terry of South Bend; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and a sister, Helen Noto of Roswell, N.M. She was a member of Hadassah, B'Nai B'rith Women, and Sinai Synagogue.
