Mrs. Jacob Hoffman  

Mrs. Jacob Hoffman, aged 72, of 732 South 35th street, died at 6 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph hospital, following a short illness.  Mrs. Hoffman was born near Wyatt, this county, Oct. 26, 1878, and had lived in this vicinity most of her life.  As Miss Freda Fox she married Mr. Hoffman, Nov. 17, 1898.    Mrs. Hoffman was a member of Zion Evangelical and Reformed church.  Surviving are her husband; one son, Edgar H. Hoffman, of Mishawaka; three daughters, Mrs. Otis Andrews, of Bremen; Mrs. Charles Miller, of Mishawaka, and Miss Emma Hoffman, at home, 12 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, three brothers, George Fox and Martin Fox, of Madison township, this county and Walter Fox, of Mishawaka, and two sisters, Mrs. Ervin Truex and Mrs. Ralph Wordinger of North Liberty, this county.   Friends may call at the Bubb chapel, Mishawaka after 7 p.m. today and until noon Saturday when the body will be taken to Zion Evangelical and Reformed church.  Friends may call at the church from 1 p.m. Saturday until the services at 3 o'clock.  Rev. Edward W. Brueseke, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in St. John's cemetery, Woodland, this county.  Nephews of the deceased will be pallbearers.
