Thomas J. Hojnacki (December 10, 1920 – September 23, 2008).

Thomas J. Hojnacki, 87, passed away at 12:30am Tuesday, September 23, 2008 in his residence. Thomas was born on December 10, 1920 in South Bend to Roman and Helen (Zdanowski) Hojnacki. He retired from A.M.General and also had been employed by Studebaker. Tom was a long time member of the Calvert Rod & Gun Club. On September 1, 1951 in Our Lady of Hungary Church he married Elizabeth Bojtor who survives.

Also surviving are two sons Thomas (Akemi) Hojnacki of Japan and Bruce (Teri Leuthold) Hojnacki of Mishawaka; a granddaughter Brittany; and two sisters-in-law Theresa Hojnacki and Frances Hojnacki both of South Bend.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Florence Horvath and four bothers Eugene, John, Raymond and Sylvester.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am Friday, September 26, 2008 in Our Lady of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 Thursday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue where a rosary will be recited at 3:00pm.
