SOUTH BEND - Raymond F. Holcomb Jr., 75, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 6:40 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2008, in Regency Place. Raymond was born on February 22, 1933, in South Bend, to Raymond F. and Esther (Snyder) Holcomb. In August 1970 he married Mary E. Thompson. Mary survives along with his children, Ray Tolley, John Holcomb, Shawn Tolley, Terrie Lee and Paula; a stepdaughter, Tammy Black; grandchildren, Raeann, Eugiena, Samantha, Leeann, Bobbi, Billy Ray, Sara, Jesse, Shane and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Anthony, Johnny, Madison, Marc and Alyssa; and his best friend through the years, Gene Klopenstine. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; a son, John Kepler; daughter, Jackie Weber; a sister, Jeannie Weber; and his brothers, Charles Holcomb, Larry Holcomb and Roger Holcomb. Raymond worked as a self-employed contractor and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 p.m. in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, IN, where a funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30, with Pastor J. Mark Muncy and Pastor Dan Morgan officiating the funeral service, with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka where American Legion #365, North Liberty, will conduct full military honors.
