Bessie Hollingsworth

March 25, 1907 – April 16, 1961

Bessie Hollingsworth, 54, of 1333 Fassnacht St., died in Memorial Hospital at 12:30pm Sunday after an illness of two months.  She was born in Kokomo on March 25, 1907, and came here 20 years ago from Kokomo.  She was a ticket agent at the union BUS Station.

Surviving are her step-mother, Mrs. Marie Downey of West Middleton IN; three daughters, Mrs. Martha Bridges of South Bend, Mrs. Susanne Williams of Kokomo and Mrs. Armetha Martin of Cleveland OH; a stepson, Theodore Hollingsworth of Anderson IN; 12 grandchildren, two half-sisters, Mrs. Mary Lambertson of Carroll Co IN, and Mrs. Betty Stewart of West Middleton; and three half-brothers, George Downed and Robert Downey, both of West Middleton and Jan Downey of Kokomo.

Friends may call after 7pm today in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home and until services there at 9am Wednesday.  Rev. John T. Byler, pastor of the First Brethren Church, will officiate, and burial will be in Crown Point Cemetery, Kokomo.
