Mrs. Carrie Hollister, 81, Dies After Month's Illness


Mrs. Carrie Hollister, 91, of 518 Lincoln Way E., a lifetime resident of this community, died at 9 p.m., Saturday in the Krogh Nursing Home, 109 N. Cedar St., after an illness of one month.
Mrs. Hollister was the oldest member of the First Methodist Church.
She was born just south of Mishawaka, As Carrie Uline, she was married here in 1896 to John F. Hollister, Sr. He died in 1815.
Surviving are one son, John F. Hollister, Jr., of Mishawaka; one daughter; Mrs. William Clawson, also of this city; as sister Mrs. Harvey Hawks of Goshen, and one grandson.
Friends may call after noon Monday in the Bubb Chapel. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

HOLLISTER - Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Hollister, 91, of 518 Lincoln Way E., who died Saturday night in the Krogh Nursing Home, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Bubb Chapel. Burial will be in the City Cemetery.
Rev. Robert J. Yunker, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate. Mrs. Hollister was the oldest member of the church. Friends may call after noon day in the funeral chapel.
