Edward Charles Honold

Apr. 24, 1883 – Oct. 16, 1958

Mishawaka - Following an illness of two years, Edward L. Honold, 74, 314 W. 8th Street, died at 11:45 p.m. Thursday in his home. He was born in Mishawaka and had lived all of his lifetime here. He married Mary Barth, Nov. 23, 1904 at St. Joseph Church.

 

Mr. Honold retired from the Ball Band plant a few years ago after 35 years of work. Surviving are his widow; three sons, Martin and Carl Honold of Mishawaka and Frederick Honold of South Bend; two daughters, Mrs. Eugene Doll of Mishawaka, and Mrs. Roy Yoder of South Bend; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a sister, Mrs. Emma Hart of Chicago. A son Edward Honold Jr. died in June of this year.

 

Friends may call at the Thallemer-Goethals Chapel after noon Saturday.

Funeral services for Edward L. Honold, 74, of 314 W. 8th Street, who died Thursday in his home, will be conducted at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Very Rev. Msgr. Curt A. Suelzer, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers will be Otto Futterknecht, Godfrey Futterknecht, Leo Futterknecht, Richard Futterknecht, Joseph Futterknecht and John Steinhauser. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today in the Thallemer-Goethals Chapel where friends may call until the time of services.
