Frederick C. Honold, 64, of 1101 S. 26th died at 7:10 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born on May 10, 1918 in Mishawaka, and lived all his life in this area. On May 4, 1946 in Mishawaka, he married Grace Miller. She survives with a daughter Mrs. Juan (Theresa) Medina of Elkhart; three sons, James of South Bend, Greg of Osceola and Michael; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Eugene (Helen) Doll of Mishawaka and Mrs. Roy (Elizabeth) Yoder of Niles; and two brothers, Carl and Martin of Mishawaka. A brother and sister preceded him in death.

 

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Anthony de Pauda Catholic Church of which he was a member. Rev. Robert Yast, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call from 2-5 and 7 to p p.m. Monday in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, Mishawaka where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.

 

Memorial contributions maybe made to the St. Joseph County Heart Association, St. Anthony’s Church or Corpus Christi Church. He was a member of the Ushers Club, the Padre Pio Prayer Group and the John Adams Booster Club. He was a veteran of World War II.
