Richard Allen Honold

Mishawaka - Richard A. Honold, 38, of 121 W. 10th, died at 9:40 p.m. Thursday in the Ridgedale Nursing Center, South Bend, after a lengthy  illnes.

 

He was a drummer for several local bands until 1967, and also had worked for the Ludwig Drum Co. in Chicago. He was born on April 22, 1945 in Mishawaka, and spent most of his life in this area.

 

Surviving is a sister, Mrs. John L. (Marilyn) Hanson of South Euclid, Ohio; his mother, Mrs. Elsie Honold, with whom he lived; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, where a wake service will take place at 8 p.m. Sunday. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church. Rev. Paul Bueter, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Mishawaka Council 1878.
