Clarence Francis Hoose

MISHAWAKA - Clarence F. Hoose, 59, of 420 W. Broadway, a lifetime resident of Mishawaka, who had been ill for the past four years, died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Hospital, South Bend. He was born Oct. 28, 1906 in Mishawaka.

 

On Sept. 11, 1937 here he married Virginia Bickel. Surviving are his widow; two sons, Phillip J. and David C., both at home; a daughter, Mrs. John P. Swartz, of South Bend; two grandchildren; three brothers, Howard H. of Mishawaka, Herman J. of Charlotte, N.C, and Francis W. of South Bend, and two sisters, Mrs. Ross Cleghorn of South Bend and Mrs. Frank Muir of Sherman Oaks, Calif.

 

He was a member of St. Monica’s Church, the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Mishawaka Eagles 2083, Mishawaka Moose Lodge 98, and the Mishawaka Lions Club.

 

Friends may call in the Bubb Funeral Chapel after 7 p.m. today, where a rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.. Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Monica’s Catholic Church. The pastor, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Leo A. Hoffman, will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
