Fred Carl Hoose

MISHAWAKA – Fred Carl Hoose, 32, of 420 W. Broadway, died Monday afternoon in the United States Veterans’ Hospital in Tucson, Ariz., where he had been confined for the past year, following an illness of four years of tuberculosis and complications. He was born in Mishawaka, May 27, 1897, and had lived here all his life, until a year ago when he went to Arizona. Until three years ago he was employed as a mechanic by the Studebaker Corporation in South Bend, and was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Monica’s Catholic Church.

 

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Mary Hoose, of this city; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Cleghorn of South Bend and Mrs. Frank Muir of St. Louis, Mo.; and five brothers, Ralph, Clarence, Howard and Herman, at home, and Francis of South Bend. The body will be brought to Mishawaka for funeral and burial.

Funeral services for Fred Carl Hoose, who died this week in Tucson, Ariz. will be held Monday morning at 9 o’clock in St. Monica’s Catholic Church, the Rev. T. V. Fettig, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
