MISHAWAKA - Virginia P. Hoose, 81, of West Catalpa Drive, died about noon Sunday in the home of her son at Timberline Trail, Granger. Mrs. Hoose retired in 1982 from Meyer's Hardware Store as a secretary after 25 years of service. She was born Feb. 18, 1914, in Mishawaka. On Sept. 15, 1937, in Mishawaka, as Virginia P. Bickel, she married Clarence F. Hoose. He died May 25, 1966. She is survived by a daughter, Mary V. Fader of South Bend; two sons, David C. of Brookfield, Wis., and Phillip J. of Granger; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lillian McMillan of Mishawaka and Lucille Rich of Phoenix. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, South Bend.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
