Anna Horvath

July 14, 1900December 17, 1974

 

Mrs. Anna Horvath, 74, of 16235 Ireland Road, Mishawaka, died at 4:15pm Tuesday in Memorial Hospital after an illness of two years.

 

Born in Baltimore MD, July 14, 1900, she had lived in this area most of her life.  She retired from the former Studebaker Corp in 1963 after 21 years of employment.  As Anna Borkowski, she married Steen Horvath, in South Bend, in February 1920.  He died in 1942.

 

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ella Emmons of Mishawaka and Mrs. William Hums, with whom she lived, a son, Steve G. Horvath of Bremen; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Clara Jones of South Bend and three brothers, Frank, John and Clem Borkowski, all of South Bend.

 

Friends may call form 7 to 9pm today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Thursday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, Mishawaka.  The rosary will be recited in the funeral home by the St Ann’s Society of Our Lady of Hungary Church at 7pm Thursday and by pastors of St Matthew’s Cathedral at 8:30pm Thursday.  She was a member of St Ann’s Society of Our Lady of Hungary Church and also was a member of St Matthew’s parish.  The time for services has not been set.
