George A. Horvath Jr.

George A. Horvath Jr., 82, of South Bend, Ind., passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 28, in his residence. Mr. Horvath retired from Dodge-Reliance and had also worked at Studebaker. George was a World War II Navy veteran. He was born on June 15, 1920, in South Bend, to George and Margaret Horvath. On June 28, 1941, in South Bend, he married Justina "Tina" Buzolich. She died on Oct. 7, 1999. George was also preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Horvath. He is survived by two daughters, Linda (Darrel) Grabner of Fort Myers, Fla., and Nancy Mangus of South Bend; two grandchildren, Stacey (Michael) Smith and Brian (Lisa) Grabner; and by seven great- grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, in Our Lady of Hungary Church. Entombment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Private visitations will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pet Refuge or to the American Heart Association. The Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue, handled the arrangements.
