Helen M. Horvath (Oct. 26, 1925 -- July 9, 2004)

Helen M. Horvath, 78, of South Bend, Ind., and Vero Beach, Fla., passed away on Friday, July 9, in her residence.

Mrs. Horvath was employed by Our Lady of Hungary Church. She was a member of the church, its St. Ann Society and the D.F.V. German Club Ladies Auxiliary. Helen was born on Oct. 26, 1925, in South Bend, to Ernest and Anna Moon. On June 21, 1947, she married Matthew E. Horvath, who died on Feb. 13, 1991.

Surviving are three daughters, Mary Ellen (Dennis) Michael and Shelly (Doug) Distl, both of Vero Beach, and Deborah (Scott) Stuller of Fort Pierce, Fla.; four grandchildren, Karri Ballard, Jeffrey Michael, Stacie DeSart and Stephanie Stuller; a great-grandchild, Ryan Ballard; and a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Moon of Granger, Ind.

Memorial services will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, July 19, in Our Lady of Hungary Church. Burial of the cremains will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may call one-half hour prior to services in the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Our Lady of Hungary Church.
