Stephen Horvath

HORVATH – Word has been received of the January 28 death of Stephen Horvath, 65, of Denver, Colo., formerly of South Bend and Vandalia, Mich. He was born on September 28, 1915 in South Bend, and had lived here for many years. He was a retired farmer. On October 28, 1939, in South Bend, he married Helen Nyers, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Miss Elizabeth Horvath of San Jose, Calif., and Mrs. Barbara Thornton of Westminster, Colo.; two sons, Stephen Michael of San Jose, and Fredrick William of Aurora, Colo.; three grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Veronica Fodrocy and Mrs. Helen Gostola, both of Granger, Mrs. Mary Tate of Mishawaka and Miss Rose Horvath of South Bend; and five brothers, Michael of Oakley, Kan., Alex of Niles, Joseph of Sun City, Ariz., John of Lafayette, and Frank of South Bend. Services and burial were in Denver. The Moore-Howard Mortuary handled arrangements. Memorial contributions maybe made to the American Cancer Society.
