LAGRANGE - Donald P. Hosler, 58, of Fort Wayne, accidentally drowned in Big Turkey Lake on Wednesday, Deputy LaGrange County Coroner Frank Jagoda ruled. The drowning occurred shortly before 7:30 a.m. at the boat landing near County Road 1150 East and County Road 350 South.

Mr. Hosler was unloading his fishing boat off a trailer. The boat floated off the trailer, and when he reached for the boat, he fell off the boat ramp and into 8-foot-deep water, authorities said. His body was recovered by Angola Fire Department divers shortly before 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

SOUTH BEND - Donald P. Hosler, 58, of Fort Wayne, formerly of South Bend and Niles, drowned Wednesday in Big Turkey Lake in LaGrange County. Deputy LaGrange County Coroner Frank Jasoda ruled the drowning accidental.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Jude Catholic Church, Fort Wayne. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Funeral Home, Fort Wayne, where a rosary will be said at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
