Vera Hosler

June 22, 1914 - Nov. 18, 2002

Vera Madeline Hosler, 88, of Shanower Drive, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away on Monday, Nov. 18, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend, Ind.

Vera was born on June 22, 1914, in Mishawaka, to the late Rene and Ethel (Coil) Mestach. Vera was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Gallup.

On Nov. 23, 1939, she married William Jonathon Hosler, who survives. Vera was a nurse's aide in the Osteopathic Hospital until she retired in 1978.

Vera is survived by her husband, William; their two daughters, Deborah (Dennis) Seltzer of Mishawaka and Linda (Larry) Harris of Alameda, Calif.; six grandchildren, Francis Szalay, William Szalay, Sheila Szalay and Michele Roberts, all of South Bend, Julie Seltzer of Mishawaka, and Brian (Jennifer) Seltzer of Elkhart, Ind.; and by five great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Nov. 20, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, where the funeral service will take place on Thursday, Nov. 21, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Ervin Mize officiating. Burial is to follow at the Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
