SOUTH BEND - Services for Fred R. Hostetler, 91, of Chicago Trail Village, formerly of South Bend, who was found dead at 9 p.m. Sunday in his residence of natural causes, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hamilton Grove Retirement Community.

Mr. Hostetler retired in 1967 from Wheelabrator-Frye. He was born Jan. 21, 1904, in Elkhart.

On Aug. 7, 1929, in South Bend, he married Helen Irene Main. She died Feb. 7, 1965. On Oct. 21, 1967, in Mishawaka, he married Louise DeGeeter. She died May 15, 1978. Surviving are two daughters, Marilyn Lichtenbarger of South Bend and Dorothy Lempke of Lafayette, Ind.; a son, John C. of South Bend; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Elsie Cripe of Franklin, Ind., and Bessie Young and Hilda Holtzinger, both of Goshen; and a brother, Gene Rhoades of Bradington, Fla. A son, Raymond J., died Jan. 6, 1968.
