MISHAWAKA - On September 22, 2008, Patricia “Patti” Hostetler, 58, went to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 22, 1950, in Huntington, IN, and had lived in Indiana all of her life. Patti was a 1968 graduate of Penn High School and was active on the class reunion committees. Patti retired from WSBT-TV in 2008 after 35 years of employment as assistant to the general manager. She appreciated working with Jim Freeman who, along with his wife, Mel, treated her like family. Patti enjoyed traveling, shopping, baking and reading. She is survived by a son, Nicholas of Granger; her mother, Evelyn Bixler of Mishawaka; two sisters, Dee (Charles) Miller of Granger and Gina Bixler of Mishawaka; and a granddaughter, Keelynn Nicole. Patti was loved by her family and many friends. She'll be greatly missed, but we rejoice in knowing we'll be reunited again in Heaven.

There will be no visitation, but a celebration of Patti's life will be held in the Bubb Funeral Chapel at 11 a.m. today, Sept. 24, with Rev. Bonita F. Laudeman and Rev. Ervin Mize officiating. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. at Oak Park Cemetery, Ligonier, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph County Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637
