Mrs. Pearl Shuppert Houston.

 

     Mrs. Pearl Shuppert Houston, aged 61, of 817 North Blaine avenue, died at 3:15 a. m. today in her home.  She had been ill since the first of the year.  Born in Liberty township, this county, April 12, 1877, she spent all her life here.  Surviving are a son, Schuyler C. Houston, South Bend; three grandchildren, and three sisters, Miss Arvilla Shuppert, South Bend; Mrs. James Workman, Union township, and Mrs. George W. Fogg, Bay City, Mich.  Mrs. Houston was a member of St. Paul's Memorial Methodist Episcopal church.
     The body will be in the residence until Wednesday noon.  Then it will be taken to St. Paul's church to lie from 1:30 to 2:30 p. m.  The funeral will be conducted in the church at 2:30 p. m. by Rev. Robert M. Selle, pastor.  Burial will be in Porter cemetery after brief services at the grave during which the coffin will be open.
